Oh, and the name "Pretty Lights" comes from a Pink Floyd concert poster that read "Come and watch the pretty lights, guess you didn't know that.. ;)

Purity Ring – “Lofticries” [VIDEO]

I ran across this video and felt the need to share. It plays out pretty much like a trailer and if you haven’t seen the movie yet; it looks interesting enough to catch up on. So, Purity Ring has been given an unofficial music video treatment for the track “Lofticries”. The video was made by David Dean Burkhart and it features scenes from the 1974 Swedish film entitled Thriller: A Cruel Picture which, supposedly, is one of the inspiration for the movie Kill Bill. LEGITIMATE, emcee, is a diversely talented emcee/producer known for bone-crushing machine-gun mic presence and a conscious, thought provoking lyricism reminiscent of the 90's golden era. RUMPLESTILTZ, hiphop cello player/producer, brings a brand new sound to any hiphop show, by playing a live string instrument on stage. Using looping pedals, effects, and the help of a DJ, Rumplestiltz can create complex hiphop beats on the fly.

Benny Benassi dipping into the chaos of dubstep over this track by James Blake, “Limit to your Love.” The only version available right now is a LIVE version, but as soon as its out in CDQ, I will blast it out to all of you. After a blitz in the studio, they've released 5 tracks with an Upcoming EP to hit the scene shortly )With remixes ranging from 1950's classics, post-hardcore rock to the sweet electronic sounds of today.) Remember DJ Wick-it the Instigator? Of course you do…he was the one that did the mashup album of Big Boi and The Black Keys called The Brothers of Chico Dusty. One of the more intriguing collaborations in the works these days, Danger Mouse is teaming up with cross-discipline artist Daniele Luppi towards their upcoming album Rome, from where this track "Two Against One" will reside, featuring former White Stripes half Jack White. Slow and dreamy acoustic feel on this one, cool track though loaded with some obvious talent and classic vocals from White. Also check out the previous leak off the album - "Black" featuring Grammy-winning and sexy-as-can-be Norah Jones.

Blue Sky Black Death, an accomplished West Coast production duo has mastered the art of collaboration.
