The Horrors - Still Life (Indie)

U.K. gothic rockers The Horrors have proven over time that they are a force to be reckoned with, their 2009 LP Primary Colours nominated for the Mercury Prize and positively received by fans and critics alike. The band has now announced their third full length, Skying, and have just premiered the first single, “Still Life,” on Zane Lowe’s show on BBC Radio 1.

Painstakingly 80s, the jam continues to highlight the use of synthesizers and ominous bass riffs as they did on Primary Colours, but there’s also a certain light heartedness that hadn’t existed before. Listen to it below; Skying comes out July 26th via the respectable XL Records.
